Where Recovery Meets Restoration

Substance Abuse Counseling

$40.00 - $500.00

Substance abuse therapy is a structured form of therapy that is evidence-based and designed to help individuals break free from the cycle of addiction, restore emotional balance, and build healthier patterns of living. It provides a safe, confidential space where clients can explore the underlying causes of substance use, develop coping strategies, and strengthen resilience.

Types of Therapy Include:

Individual sessions are one-on-one sessions between a client and a licensed chemical dependency therapist. The focuses include discussions related to personal history, triggers, and recovery goals. Approaches may include cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, or rhythm-based interventions like my soon-to-be approach Rhythmic Recovery framework. The therapist is responsible for encouraging self-reflection, accountability, and skill-building in a private, supportive setting.

Family can involve spouses, parents, children, or other close relatives. Family therapy addresses the impact of substance use on family dynamics and relationships, provides education about addiction as a disease, builds healthier communication patterns, boundaries, and support systems, and helps families move from cycles of conflict or enabling toward collaboration and healing.

Group sessions consist of 4–10 individuals who are navigating similar challenges.
Group sessions are facilitated by a trained therapist who guides discussions and ensures safety. Sessions can also include peer support referrals, shared experiences, and accountability. It builds a sense of belonging and reduces isolation, which is often a barrier to recovery. Group sessions include specialized groups such as relapse prevention, trauma-informed recovery, and/or faith-based support.
